John Rosberg builds and maintains websites on infrastructure built to last.

I help companies and individuals turn ideas into fast, secure, maintainable websites and web apps. My professional career is AWS infrastructure, and my development and automation work brings that cloud discipline into every build.

What I do

Websites and web apps backed by professional AWS engineering.

I build websites, landing pages, portals, dashboards, and custom web apps for people who need more than a pretty page. My day-to-day expertise is infrastructure that scales: secure AWS foundations, IaC, cost control, redundancy, and deployment paths that make a site easy to own after launch.

01

Business Websites

Clear, modern websites for companies, consultants, creators, and local businesses that need a credible online presence hosted on simple, secure, cost-aware AWS foundations.

02

Custom Web Apps

Web apps, internal tools, dashboards, booking flows, forms, and client portals backed by clean APIs, sensible database design, secure access patterns, and infrastructure choices that match the product.

03

Hosting & Maintenance

Ongoing updates, performance tuning, AWS hosting, backups, observability, deployment pipelines, and cost-aware infrastructure so your site keeps running after launch day.

04

AI-Assisted Iteration

Development and automation are where I experiment in my free time. I use supervised AI to move faster on content, code, schemas, APIs, and IaC while still reviewing every change like an infrastructure engineer.

How I work

From idea to live website, with maintenance built in.

Define

Clarify the audience, goals, pages, workflows, integrations, and what success should look like.

Build

Create the interface, backend, content structure, database model, and AWS deployment foundation.

Launch

Ship through a safe pipeline with testing, staging, production hosting, HTTPS, and DNS.

Maintain

Keep the site updated, monitored, optimized, secure, and ready for the next feature.

Lean hosting

Websites should be fast, secure, and inexpensive to operate.

For static and content-focused sites, I often use a private S3 bucket behind CloudFront with HTTPS, security headers, and a simple deployment path. It is a clean setup for performance, reliability, and low monthly cost.

More advanced web apps can add APIs, authentication, databases, queues, or background jobs when the product needs them. My infrastructure background helps keep that growth secure, redundant, cost-optimized, and understandable.

Monthly S3 + CloudFront Estimate

$0.50
Transfer after free allowance $0.00 S3 storage $0.01 Route 53 hosted zone $0.50

A website is a product, not a one-time file drop.

I build with the long tail in mind: content changes, feature requests, hosting bills, security updates, deployment confidence, and the reality that good websites keep evolving. The craft is web development; the backbone is professional AWS infrastructure.
